Swimming Lessons

Weekdays, 10 AM to 1 PM

We are SO excited...!  Beginning this year, we are now an authorized provider
of the American Red Cross (ARC) Learn To Swim program!

When our kids take our lessons, they will potentially pass from one ARC swim level into the next.

Preschool Aquatics Level 1 (Basic Beginner)
Designed for children ages 3-4 to help them orient to the aquatic environment and gain basic aquatic skills.  Level 1 will work on kicking, putting their face in the water, rotary breathing, floating and work towards some independence in the water.  **Swimmers must be out of diapers** 

Preschool Aquatics Level 2 (Beginner 1)
Helps children start to gain basic swimming propulsive skills to be comfortable in and around water.  Level 2 will work on jumping in, fully submerging and holding breath, back float, swimming on front and back, and treading water using arm and leg actions.  **Swimmers must be out of diapers** 

Stroke Development (Beginner 2)
For children who can swim independently, but need to work on endurance and stoke development.  Students in this class will work on proper freestyle technique, backstroke for 25m, and breaststroke/butterfly kicks on front.  Aim to pass deep water test by completion of this lesson. 

Stroke Improvement (Advanced Beginner)
For children who can swim freestyle with good technique.  Advanced Beginners will continue to build endurance and perfect kicking techniques in all four strokes.  They will work on increasing their confidence in the water with treading water skills and survival floats.  Swimmers must have passed the deep water test.

Stroke Refinement (Intermediate)
For children who can swim freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke.  Intermediates should be able to swim several lengths of the lap pool and will work on learning butterfly and open turns.  Intermediates will work toward a 5 min continuous swim. Must have passed deep water test. 

SWIMMING and SKILL Proficiency (Swimmer)
For children who know how to swim all four strokes and have the strength to do multiple laps.  Swimmers will work on perfecting technique in all four strokes and perfecting their dives. Must have passed deep water test.
